How Early Should You Arrive for a Walk-In Interview?

Choose a practical walk-in interview arrival time based on your assigned window, venue instructions, security checks, and travel conditions.

If you have an assigned arrival window, follow it and aim to reach the venue area about 15–30 minutes early unless the organizer says otherwise. Arriving hours early can create the same crowd that scheduled windows are designed to prevent.

Read the instruction carefully

“Reporting time,” “gate opens,” and “interview time” may mean different things. Check whether security screening, document verification, or registration happens before your slot.

Plan for local conditions

Allow realistic time for traffic, public transport, parking, weather, and finding the correct entrance. If the venue is unfamiliar, review the map and official contact information before leaving.

Do not join an unsafe crowd

If the entrance is congested, follow directions from authorized venue staff and keep emergency routes clear. Contact the organizer if you cannot safely reach the check-in point.

If you will be late

Use the official phone, email, or rescheduling channel as early as possible. Keep a record of the message. Organizers may accommodate a delay, but candidates should not assume a slot will remain open without communication.
